T Minus 7 days

All else being equal, we're about 7 days from our renovation starting.

Demolition team is scheduled to come in and remove all wall sheeting, ceilings, carpets, kitchen, bathroom and built-ins on the 11th of this month. Prior to then, we must remove all light fittings, all switches and sockets, and render the house electrically safe.

After the demo team, we can run new elec and network/data/vision cables (computer and projector, etc), locate new sockets, lights and switches.

Plumber will come in and prep for new sink and future dishwasher.

Then we can start the gyprocking, in the kitchen initially, and plastering.  When that is done, then hopefully the new kitchen will arrive and we can install that (ourselves).

Just don't ask what the timeline is, beyond the end of next week…
