and who else...

Is REALLY sick of the way Channel 10 is cutting up "Friends" at the moment??

Sorry.

Biggestest Loser (me, prolly...)

I admit it: We're hooked. Carmen says she likes to watch fat people exercise, but I have to admit in the anonymity of that thar intawebs that it's sucked me in with the emotion and personal triumph and the addressing of peoples underlying issues (well, if they're not lying under too much...) I like this show. If we're not home, we tape it. Like I said, addicted.

Anyhoo, two of the people on it (I'm not going to call them contestants) have discovered that they like each other. As soon as I saw that, I thought "Kimmy would say 'Ooh, the fatties have found love'." I had a little chuckle, at my imagination of her... Disclaimer: Kim did not say that. As far as I know.

And as for Sheridan, Cosi is spot on. She's a child. Michael will see that soon, and as quick as you can say "catered japanese food, personal chef", she will have her first ever broken heart.

Man, I'm cold. Didn't mean for that to sound mean, ... but ... no, Rob, dig up!!

Content? What content?

So, (I wonder how many posts I can make with that as the first word...) the other week I foolishly "promised" Luke that I would post twice per week, from now on.

Well, that's rather open-ended, without much of an escape clause. I really, what did I intend to write about? The only thing that's really going that's of any interest is our ramping up to renovation D-Day, and that's probably only of interest to us.

But anyway: Demolition team scheduled for 11 March. (To remove all the internal wall sheeting). Then Sparky, plumber, we'll do some gyprocking, get a plasterer in to finish the kitchen plaster, we'll install the kitchen that we ordered last week, and then move on to the rest of the house.

Somewhere in the middle there, I'm off to usa for a week for a work thing. And on the way back I'll miss our first anniversary. Man, does it feel like a year to you? Not me.

Anyhoo, while the walls etc are missing, we'll be camped out in our downstairs rumpus/studio. Fun fun.

I guess stay posted (or maybe I should say, I'll keep posting, and you can keep reading my posts?) for progress pictures and reports. Yeah, that might be suitable content. Yeah.

Welder upgrade

So, I was getting rather frustrated at the duty cycle of my Ryobi Parva 140E welder (cutting out after a couple of 3.2mm rods, thermal), so I went to JayCar and bought a 120mm, 105cfm 240V fan. Fitted inside the enclosure to cycle a bit of air thru. Previously, there was nothing, relying solely on the vents and any air that might accidentally flow thru.

Went in easily, wired it in to the switch, so that when the welder is on, so is the fan. Opened the vents up a bit more while i was there.

Seems to work alright. Makes a bit of a racket, and I still managed to trip it out this arve, but ... dunno, can't hurt, and it makes me feel better, to know that I've done Something...
