This house is BUSTED!

Had the demolition guys in this week.  Seems that they earnt their money; everything is nailed into hardwood, with way too many nails, which in turn are way too big for the job. So, overall, I'm fairly glad that we didn't waste our time and frustration (and danger, and cleaning) removing the wall and ceiling sheeting ourselves.

Everything was taken downstairs, and stored in either the garage (in boxes, until we're basically finished) or the rumpus (where we'll be living for the next little while). Needless to say, our living spaces are rather cramped right now, and when we move back home (we're at Mandy's place this week) it'll be interesting to see how we cope. Or rather, how I cope, I guess…

So now our upstairs is a skeleton.  All wall and ceiling sheeting is gone, as are the carpets. The majority of the kitchen tiling is gone, along with everything that makes a kitchen a kitchem, and ditto for bathroom, except bath and shower pan. And of course our new dunny is still in place, albeit a little lonely and exposed.

I'm very excited about how it's going to be.  Carmen went and visited our new kitchen (in the workshop) today, and so it's all getting very real...
